‘Why Not Minot’
I was in Minot for the majority of the two glorious days of no school – aka my freedom weekend. I did get the book Four: A Divergent Collection which, is really good so far.
Here are some of the highlights of my trip –
Hotel Waterpark:
Unlike last time I went to this waterpark, I had only gone down the purple slide once. Purple being the most freakiest. Being in a place of confinement going 50 km/hour is not that much of a joy ride. I went on the Orange and Yellow slides (being rated not so freaky) 6 times. Each slide 3 times before attempting the Purple again. When I finally got to the Purple one after climbing 55 steps (not including platforms) to get to it, I counted to 20 before pushing myself off. In the end, I went on ‘Purple Monster’ as I call it now 5 whole times. Most times, I was singing ”Dark Horse” by Katy Perry to slow myself down. It worked as I lost myself in the song. I enjoyed it even though I was going down like a rocket.
Finding New Things:
Even though I’m proud to be a Canadian, I do enjoy going to the U.S once in awhile. My reasons: It’s something to do, I get to go to new places and, I find new things. Some gross ex: Cookie Dough Oreo (you may think otherwise). Some TOTALLY EPIC, ex: Goldfish Mac’n’Cheese and MEGA Goldfish
This weekend I got to spend quality time with my mother – especially when she got us lost in Minot. She took a wrong road. Even though we are 5 million hours away from the nearest U.S. city, it’s worth it to experience something other then where I am.
